The tablet says today is the day I write.  I never write much, but today I want to write everything.  It has been nearly a week since the Just Science arrived and we were separated so I haven’t seen any of them since, but the wonders I have seen are, well.  There is a reunion of the five of us tomorrow night.

There are bears looking in my window, I think I see more Elk in the distance, I certainly saw enough of them this week.  All the animals are huge and healthy and pay no attention to humans at all.  When we go outside we can’t even see our buildings or well used pathways.  Lightly wooded parks with people and animals passing by.

I assumed their technology would have advanced, but I could not have imagined it.  They are not hiding it from me, seem genuinely interested it what I think.  I can do whatever I want, and everyone knows who I am and are more than willing to help me find whatever I want. I have met hundreds of people who I can hardly differentiate. They do not give their names unless I ask.

I have never felt better in my life, and the food they give me is designed for me. not much to look at but I have never tasted better food.  The portions are perfect.  Once I asked for more, but when it arrived I didn’t want it.  Everyone’s food it different, some dishes are fancy looking, but not what they give to me, I guess, because how it looks isn’t important to me, only how it tastes.

My energy level is high, I have no allergies, I spend most of my time outside and although there are people all around I can hardly notice them or walk up to anyone with confidence to ask anything.  I like to exercise and I never did before, but MY GOD I feel great.  I carry this tablet that tells me anything I want to know, or guides me to information I find interesting.  I now just let it plan my day.

We first got radio contact with Earth about a month ago, and looking at Earth from space it looked nearly uninhabited.  The space station we hooked up with was well used, the tools and  equipment they have is more compact and more powerful than anything we designed and we used to be the best designer… and I suspect they knew all about us long before they let us contact them by radio.

I can hardly get my head around this life they have.  It appears no one is in charge, certainly no one seems to be in charge of me or my case, but everyone can help me, knows me, and seems to treat me like a child in a candy store.  They speak an English among themselves but I can hardly understand it And they all know my version of English very well rarely making mistakes.  They have no power grid, all places are independently powered, no batteries but fusion power sources the size of a cell phone.

It appears nothing is prohibited either.  I asked about travel and languages and poverty and guns and government.  It is all on the tablet with very succinct or detailed information.  It appears designed for me.

I asked Framet to explain it to me and she started talking about spiritual something.  They all think in terms of group progress and expanding rational existence.  It is based on a scientific religion that values anything that is of value to humanity above everything else.  And when there is disagreement the Assembly takes action.  That is about all I know.

Outside the door of my rooms is a social area and my second night I asked someone where to find a bar.  It was a short walk to a busy center, I let her help me pick out clothes and entered a cross between a casino and a club, some people were feverish, dancing and singing, others were sitting and watching.  Displays of affection and people mingling.  I began talking to Zordin and the girl who had helped me quickly said goodbye and disappeared.  Zordin and I found a table and on it were two glasses, which were for us…  I don’t know how they got there…Zordin was gone in the morning and the tablet told me not to worry that after the reunion meeting I should return which was all I wanted to do anyway.

Framet says rational existence just means we make our world with words and stories.  That what we communicate with others should be of value to all of us, and we need to think in terms of what others need to know, what will help the most people.  If we find something of value we need to communicate it and develop the idea for everyone else.
